Our West Ohio Conference has two wonderful camps for the whole family to enjoy.
Camp Wesley is up I-75, almost to Lima. Camp Wesley is 225 acres with a 19-acre lake, a pool, evergreen and hardwood forests, and grasslands. Camper activities include canoeing, swimming, archery, nature hikes, the challenge course, crafts, worship, and Bible study. Accommodations are in cabins, yurts, or the main lodge.
Camp Otterbein is southeast of Columbus, in the beautiful Hocking Hills. Camp Otterbein is 450+ acres, and activities include swimming, canoeing, fishing, and playing on the huge water inflatables in the lake; kayaking on the river; rock climbing; mountain-boarding; and archery, hiking, crafts, Bible study, and outdoor worship. Otterbein also has a boulder wall and a high ropes course. Accommodations are in cabins and tents.
The wide range of these overnight camps provides something for everyone – for all ages, grade 2 through college, and for families and grandparents as well. These camps range from three days to a whole week, and sessions run from June – August.
Brochures are available for pick-up at the church office. For more information on the camps and “camperships,” please call Amy Valentine at 336-0537.
