Coffee with the BSL
The Board of Servant Leaders (BSL) would like to invite members and friends of Faith Community to come hear an update from the BSL.  You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about issues that interest or concern you. 

The BSL coffee and conversation will be held on Sunday, July 12 from 10:35 – 10:55 am in the Parlor.  Hope to see you there!

Sunday, July 19
Friendship Day at Faith
Get ready for our first annual Faith Friendship Day after services on Sunday, July 19 from 12:00-3:00 pm. We will be gathering outside to enjoy great music, food, fun and fellowship. There will be a dunking booth, plus giant inflatables, pony rides, and kiddie tattoos for the kids.

Hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. There will be a ‘Best Cookie’ contest, so bake your greatest!

Invite your friends, wear comfy picnic clothes to church and then stay for the fun! Remember to bring a lawn chair and your quarters to dunk your favorite pastor (or other “willing” victims)!

July 20 -24
Summer Feeding Program
During the week of July 20-24, Faith Community will deliver between 80-100 sack lunches to help feed needy families at the Countryside Village Trailer Park.  This Summer Feeding Program ministry helps fill the gap for children who normally receive free lunches through the school year, but often have no steady source of food during the summer.

There will be opportunities to sign up to help make sandwiches and bag lunches during this week.  For more information, please contact Valoree at valoree.mclean@emailfcumc.net.

Sunday, July 26
Newcomer Orientation
Are you new to Faith and want to learn more?  Do you have some questions or want to take a tour of the church?  If so, please join us at the Welcome Center in the main lobby on Sunday, July 26 at 12:00 noon, where Kathy Greene will be hosting our “Newcomer Orientation.”  For future planning, we will continue to hold “Newcomer Orientations” as a regular ministry on the fourth Sunday of each month at noon.

Sunday, August 2
Red’s Faith Day
Faith has blocked 200 tickets in section 416/417 for the Sunday, August 2, 1:10 pm game at the Great American Ballpark against the Colorado Rockies. This is one of The Red's Faith Days and Steven Curtis Chapman will perform after the game.

When tickets are sold out, please continue to let Lynne know if you are interested in going. As the summer goes on, conflicts may arise and tickets might become available for use. Each ticket is $11.00 (regularly $22.00).

August 2 and 9
New Member Class
Faith will be holding a “New Member Class” on August 2nd and 9th in the Community Room. This class will help you learn about Methodists, Faith Community, and how you can get involved in church ministries. We will have lunch at 12:00 for the families and then the class will run from 12:30 – 2:30 pm. Childcare will be provided. Members will be received on August 15 in both services. Friday, August 7
Mother/Son Wii Bowling Tournament
Mark your calendars for the Mother/Son Wii Bowling tourney Friday, August 7, 6:00–9:00 pm. Come for food, fellowship, and competitive fun. Brackets will be set in July.

Look for information in the bulletin and in the Sunday morning classrooms. We can use some extra hands (dads) for this event. Check the clipboard and contact Missy Hagan with questions at msmissy@fuse.net.
