Small Group Leader Gathering
Please join us for a Small Group Leader Gathering on
Sunday, May 18 from 12:15-2:30 pm in the Community Room.
We will celebrate what God is doing through the Small
Group ministry, share in fellowship, learn about serving
as a group, and unveil next steps in the ministry.
Meat and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side

Youth Sunday
Faith Community will celebrate Youth Sunday on May 18 at
the 9:30 and 11:00 am worship services in the Christian
Living Center.
The theme for the service will be Soldiers for
Christ, and the Youth plan to run a slide show
featuring PAST and PRESENT church family military
personnel. So, if your great grandfather or a current
family member has served, please drop off pictures in
the Youth Mailbox (all pictures will be returned), or
email pictures to Melissa Bertram at
mjbertram@fuse.net.

Newcomer Orientation
Are you new to Faith and want to learn more? Do you
have some questions or want to take a tour of the
church?
If so, please join us at the Welcome Center in the main
lobby on Sunday, April 27 at 12:00 noon, where Kathy
Greene will be hosting our first “Newcomer
Orientation.” For future planning, we will continue to
hold “Newcomer Orientations” as a regular ministry on
the fourth Sunday of each month at noon.
June 6-14
Summer Mission Trip to Russia
Faith Community is planning a mission trip to Russia
from June 6 – 14 to help Russian orphans. The mission
team will work with the planned Center for Orphans to
help prepare Russian orphans for life outside the
orphanage when they are forced to leave at age 15 or 16.

Henderson Mission
There are still openings on the Henderson Mission Work
Team. Needed are women and a few more men to help fix up
a home [Good ice cream, too!]. For more information,
please contact Hal Hobe at 777-2157.

Vacation Bible School
Save the date! VBS will be June 16th-20th and is packed with
fun you won't want to miss! This year's theme is Power Lab -
Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Healing Power. Power Lab is
fizzing with fun for kids, teens, and adults.
We will offer two programs:
1) Evening Program: Sun., June 15–Thur., June 19 (6-8 pm)
2) Morning Program: Mon., June 16–Fri., June 20 (9:30
am-12:30pm)
How can you help?

We need many clear water bottles, or clear 2-liter soda
bottles for “Power Lab” crafts. Donations can be
dropped off in the collection bin located in the small
kitchen. Thank you!

Red's Faith
Day
Faith has blocked 75 tickets for the Sunday, August 17,
1:15 pm game at the Great American Ballpark against the
Cardinals. This is one of The Red's Faith Days and Mercy
Me will perform after the game.
Tickets are available
on a first come first served basis. Each Mezzanine
ticket will be $11.00 (regularly $22.00). If you would
like to join us, please put a check in the Children's
ministry mailbox made payable to "Faith Community UMC."
We will have tickets available for pick-up Sunday,
August 3 through Sunday, August 10.

McCurdy School Mission
We are now building a mission work team to go to McCurdy
School in New Mexico. Our tasks are doing general
maintenance, office work, and other jobs as needed.
