Mission Ministries
Mark 12:29-31 "Love the
Lord your God with all your heart ... love your neighbor as
yourself."
The Mission Ministries
strive to share the love of God through His Son Jesus Christ so
that all people will know Him.
The caring starts in our church and then spreads out to help
others in our community, our country and our world.

ministry titles for additional information.

place for you. Please contact Faith for more information.

Stephen Ministry (one-to-one support)
Everyone goes through difficult times and having someone there
who cares and listens can help you get through the confusion, stress
or loneliness. That special someone can be a Stephen Minister who
is:
A
child of God who walks beside a hurting person
A
caring Christian friend who really listens
A
lay person with 50 hours of Christian care training
Stephen Ministers help meet the needs of people who are
hospitalized, terminally ill, bereaved, in a job or spiritual
crisis, new members of the church, disabled, homebound or lonely.
Meeting on a weekly basis, this distinctively Christian care is done
in strict confidentiality.
SCRIPTURE CALL-OUT:
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law
of Christ. Galatians 6:2
There are currently seven Stephen Ministers who meet regularly with
care-receivers and six Stephen Leaders who administer the program.
Whether your need is large or small, there’s a Stephen Minister
ready to walk with you.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you
rest." Matthew 11:28
Knitting Group
The Knitting Ministry reaches out
to the community in three ways:
We
make bibs and teddy bears for Faith Community newborns
We
knit baby items for premature and full-term babies through the
Touching Little Lives ministry
We
sew turbans, seatbelt pillows and comfort bears in coordination with
Christ's Church of Mason for the American Cancer Society
Please join us the first Wednesday evening of every month from 7
p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for fellowship and to make a difference in
people's lives.
Good Samaritan
Faith Community’s Good Samaritan Ministry is an outreach to all
people in need. Through the Food Pantry plus donations of clothing
and household donations, we help our neighbors, regardless of
background.
Faith’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and
is located in the small kitchen. Anyone requesting assistance is
asked to provide basic identification such as name, address, phone,
etc.
All who receive assistance through the Good Samaritan Ministry are
invited to worship with us and share fellowship in the body of
Christ. |
